Answer:
This error appears if the crosshead has activated either the top or bottom limit switches during operation. The crosshead limits can be manually adjusted at the rear of the test stand column to protect the stand, loadcell or fixture from damage in an overtravel condition.
If the stand is being operated by the latest version of emperor the stand will automatically back off after triggering the over travel switch.
If using the stand manual jog controls when the error was encountered, the cross head will need to be moved away from the limits using the jog buttons before continuing.
